About the Owner

​

Andrea is an Illinois native, who grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.  She moved to St. Augustine in 2019 with her husband and two kids, for the adventure and warmer weather. 

 

With a BFA in Interior Design, Andrea has always loved architecture, design and decor.  Her passion for the environment has always been strong, so being able to incorporate sustainability and eco-conscious living into her mission for

Basic Shop was a must.

Andrea strongly believes in putting more responsibility on the company rather than the consumer, to lessen the impact we have on this planet.  "People are always going to want to buy things.  We need to offer them simple, natural ingredients and products that don't compromise on aesthetics -
